Outstanding Women of New Brighton: Danielle Mihalko

Strong roots, powerful work ethics, and an unconventional way of thinking provided by her mother, Jane Mihalko, and grandparents, George and Doris Wagner, were the launchpad for Danielle Mihalko.

A bright, married, working mother of three children, she was raised in the small town of New Brighton, PA. Danielle’s individuality became apparent while in second grade. As her classmates were checking out ”normal” books from the library, she was borrowing books on how to learn French and Chinese and teaching herself to eat with chopsticks.

Through her experiences from International Studies in college to her involvement in environmental non-profit organizations, Danielle has become a woman who makes a difference. She is currently employed by a Fortune 500 company, Lenovo, which is a technology company that designs personal computers and technology devices. Her position there is Director of Customer Operations for Global Accounts. She oversees and manages 100 people in 17 countries while being a mother of three active children. Through work, she has traveled to six continents — the Antarctic is next on her bucket list.

Whether it is finding the perfect project for an employee, supporting a colleague through challenging times, or helping her children find their own passions, Danielle believes it is all about making a bit of difference in every day we are given.
